2 drug smuggling suspects arrested

AMMAN — Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel arrested two suspects in Amman, who allegedly tried to smuggle 140,000 narcotic pills, according to a Public Security Department statement issued on Monday.

The AND received a tip-off indicating that two individuals were trying to smuggle narcotics in a refrigerated truck.

The AND personnel located the truck and arrested two suspects, seizing 140,000 narcotic pills that were hidden in a secret compartment inside the vehicle.
