1995-born Jordanian males told to ensure enlistment

AMMAN — The General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) Directorate of Personnel Affairs/Mobilisation Division, called on all male Jordanians born in 1995 to contact the administrative rulers, Public Security Directorates or branches of the Mobilisation Division in the governorates or visit the JAF website via www.jaf.mil.jo and ms.jaf.mil.jo to ensure that they are included on the lists of the first batch of mandatory military service, dubbed locally as the "banner service".

The General Command said that anyone who fails to report without a legitimate reason will face a jail term of no less than three months and no more than six months, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
