14,009 students accepted at public universities

AMMAN — The Higher Education Council on Tuesday decided to accept 14,009 of the students who applied to public universities for the 2014-2015 spring semester under the unified admission list.
The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by Higher Education Minister Amin Mahmoud.
A total of 1,550 students will be admitted to the University of Jordan while 480 will go to its Aqaba branch, 540 to Yarmouk University, 1,560 to Mutah University, 585 to the Jordan University of Science and Technology, 1,620 to the Hashemite University, 1,884 to Al al-Bayt University, 2,705 to Hussein Bin Talal University and 960 to Tafileh Technical University.
