14 adults, 6 minors detained for violent video following football match

AMMAN — A total of 14 adults and six minors, who appeared in viral videos reportedly intended to incite hatred and violence following a football match, were referred to court, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced on Sunday.

The PSD's spokesperson said that investigations led to the arrest of 14 individuals from several governorates and six minors, who have been detained at correctional and rehabilitation centres, noting that investigations are underway to detect the producers of hateful publications, according to a PSD statement. The spokesperson also vowed the directorate’s “zero tolerance" regarding any action that could threaten the community’s peace.
