AMMAN — Twelve people have suffered from food poisoning after eating “rotten food” in Balqa Governorate, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Sunday.

The 12 people were all checked at the Iman Hospital in Deir Alla, after eating leftovers of food cooked two days before, which caused food poisoning, Balqa assistant health director for Deir Alla affairs said.

The official added that 10 people were discharged from hospital on the same day and the two others on Sunday. The hospital director highlighted the importance of storing leftovers in refrigerators so that they do not go off, especially in high temperatures.
