115 beggars arrested on Friday — Social Development Ministry

AMMAN — The Ministry of Social Development (MOSD), in collaboration with the Public Security Directorate (PSD) and the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), on Friday launched a campaign to combat the issue of begging and raise public awareness.

During the campaign, the Anti-Vagrancy Department staff apprehended 115 beggars, who were subsequently referred to the judiciary, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Saturday.
