‘Public Works Ministry disbursed 120 financial claims for gov’t construction projects’

AMMAN — Minister of Public Works and Housing Falah Omoush on Saturday denied reports about intentions to cancel any construction projects implemented by the government.
The minister made his remarks during a meeting with the heads of the Jordan Engineers Association, the Jordanian Construction Contractors Association, the Engineering Offices Authority and the Jordan Housing Developers Association (JHDA), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
According to Omoush, the ministry has disbursed all contractors’ financial claims, which totalled around 120 claims.
The meeting also agreed to allow engineering offices to resume work, with 10 square metres allotted for each office staff employee to maintain social distancing practices.
