AMMAN — The families of guest workers, including parents, children and spouses, are also permitted to leave the Kingdom and are included in the government’s decision to exempt foreign labourers from financial dues, Labour Minister Nidal Bataineh said on Wednesday.
In a ministry statement, carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Bataineh said that the ministry started registration for guest workers wishing to leave the Kingdom through the hemayeh.jo platform on Sunday.
The registration, which is available in both Arabic and English, will close on the coming Monday, he added.
Guest workers who leave the Kingdom after their registration is accepted will be exempted from residency fines and all other financial dues, such as work permit fees, given the current conditions, the minister added.
These workers are also permitted to withdraw their benefits from the Social Security Corporation.
