‘Armed and dangerous’ man arrested after Northern Badia raid

AMMAN — Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department have arrested an "armed and dangerous" man wanted for 12 criminal charges, including premeditated murder, attempted murder and kidnapping.

The Public Security Directorate spokesperson said that a security team raided a farm in the Northern Badia region early on Monday after receiving a tip-off that a “highly dangerous” and armed fugitive was hiding there, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Upon his arrest, the security force seized an automatic rifle that was in his possession, the spokesperson said.
