The colour of blood

Recently, I received an urgent message from someone I don’t know with the request to donate blood.
No problem, done it before and will do it again.
However, my blood was refused because I’m not a Jordanian citizen!
Blood does not know religion or nationality, just the colour red.
This rule is outdated and discriminatory, and puts life at risk instead of the other way around.
