AMMAN — The value of outgoing transfers from e-wallets in Jordan reached JD3.09 billion since the beginning of 2026, carried out through nearly 63.7 million transactions, according to a report by the Jordan Payments and Clearing Company (JoPACC).
The report showed that transactions via the JoMoPay e-wallet system reached 14.98 million in May, with a total value of JD698 million, representing a 12.7 per cent increase in transaction volume and a 16.1 per cent rise in value compared with April.
The number of e-wallet users stood at 2.97 million by the end of May, marking a 1.2 per cent monthly increase. Jordanians accounted for 87.7 per cent of users (2.6 million), while non-Jordanians made up 12.3 per cent (366,100), according to Al Mamlaka TV.
Male users represented 53.7 per cent of the total, compared with 45.9 per cent for females, while the 18–30 age group remained the most active segment.
In terms of transaction type, money transfers accounted for the largest share at 83.6 per cent (12.51 million transactions), followed by purchases at 15.9 per cent (2.37 million), cash withdrawals at 0.4 per cent (66,820), and deposits at 0.1 per cent (21,350).
By value, money transfers in May amounted to JD537.12 million, purchases reached JD147.11 million, cash withdrawals totalled JD9.74 million, and deposits stood at JD3.75 million.
The average transaction value via e-wallets rose to JD47 in May, up from JD45 in April, while the average transaction value through bank accounts stood at JD98.
Total transactions across the instant payment network CliQ and JoMoPay reached 157.76 million, with a combined value of JD12.82 billion since the beginning of 2026.
