Wakalat Street reopens for pedestrians

AMMAN — Wakalat Street in Sweifieh has been officially reopened for pedestrians and short-stay vehicles, following renovations, Amman Mayor Aqel Biltaji said Wednesday night at an official ceremony.
Biltaji said the Amman Chamber of Commerce and traders on the streets requested the renovation, noting that the Greater Amman Municipality allocated JD200,000 for the project.
