UK scholarship programme open to ‘talented’ Jordanian professionals

AMMAN — Talented professionals and public servants from Jordan can apply for a Chevening scholarship award under the UK’s flagship scholarship programme funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, according to a statement released by the British embassy on Monday.

Awarded to outstanding individuals with leadership potential, the programme offers financial support for a master’s level degree beginning in September 2015 at one of the UK’s leading universities.

“Studying in the UK’s education system is about more than getting a postgraduate degree; it is about wider personal development.

I encourage any talented Jordanian with ambitions for leadership to apply,” the statement quoted British Ambassador to Jordan Peter Millett as saying.
