Two suspects detained for drugs, arms possession

AMMAN — East Amman and Zarqa Preventive Security Department personnel have solved three cases which involved the possession and selling of weapons and ammunition, the Public Security Department (PSD) media centre reported on Monday.

Three suspects are involved, two of whom have been detained while a third is still at large.

In raids of two houses in Zarqa, 15 different items of armaments were found in the first house, and two automatic weapons, and three pistols and ammunition clips in the second.

Police detained one suspect in the raids while the second is still at large.

In the third case in Qweismeh, where the suspect was detained, police found several illegal rifles used for hunting in his possession, in addition to two pistols.
