AMMAN — Two people were injured on Friday when two cars collided on Istiqlal Street in Amman, according to Lt. Alayyan Hirfi from the Civil Defence Department (CDD).
He said CDD rescue teams administered first aid to the injured and transported them to Istiqlal Hospital, where they were reported to be in fair condition.
Hirfi said the crowds that gathered at the accident scene engaged in a brawl that caused more physical injuries than the accident.
He added that the crowds obstructed traffic flow, calling on the public not to gather near accident locations to enable CDD personnel to do their job.
