Three escaped juveniles found; search under way for four others

AMMAN — The Social Development Ministry on Saturday found three of seven juveniles who escaped Maan Juvenile Centre on Friday night.
The juveniles, aged between 16 and 18, are all boys and have been detained for different cases, according to the ministry’s deputy secretary general, Abdullah Smeirat.
He noted that security personnel have been notified of the issue and efforts are under way to find the remaining detainees.
Social Development Minister Reem Abu Hassan formed a committee on Friday to follow up on the issue and evaluate the situation at the Maan centre.

Search is under way for seven juveniles who were detained on theft cases and recently fled a juvenile centre in Ruseifa, affiliated with the Ministry of Social Development, Fayez Ratrout, the ministry’s spokesperson, said Wednesday.
Ministry of Social Development officials on Wednesday said three of the seven juveniles, who left a centre in Ruseifa a week ago without permission, have returned and a search for the remaining four is ongoing.
