AMMAN — Four policemen and a wanted man were injured on Tuesday following a shoot-out in the Wadi Al Remem area in east Amman.
The Public Security Department (PSD) said the criminal shot at police officers while trying to resist arrest.
When he opened fire on them, police surrounded the area to make sure that he did not hurt any bystanders, according to the PSD.
The police fired at the wanted man, who had a criminal record and was classified as dangerous, to disarm him and take him into custody.
