Security forces discuss cooperation with New York police

AMMAN — Public Security Department (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Tawfiq Tawalbeh on Thursday met with New York City Police Department Commissioner William Bratton, and discussed ways to enhance cooperation in training and other fields of police work.

Tawalbeh said the PSD always seeks to improve its performance and update its police work.

Bratton, expressed his admiration of the advanced level and performance of the PSD, in addition to its use of modern technology.

Also on Thursday, Gendarmerie Department Director Maj. Gen. Ahmad Sweilmin received Bratton and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting — attended by HRH Prince Rashid, commander of the Special Police — the two sides discussed ways to boost cooperation and coordination.
