AMMAN — HRH Princess Muna on Sunday honoured 12 Health Ministry primary healthcare centres for receiving accreditation from the Health Care Accreditation Council and meeting the highest international standards of healthcare provision.
An additional 12 ministry centres were also recognised for their re-accreditation during a ceremony at Al Hussein Cultural Centre, attended by USAID/Jordan Mission Director Beth S. Paige, according to a USAID statement.
During the past five years, the USAID-funded Health Systems Strengthening II (HSS II) project has partnered with the Health Ministry to prepare 120 health centres to meet accreditation standards.
“The efforts of the USAID-funded HSS II project and the Ministry of Health have improved the quality of care at these primary healthcare centres and, consequently, have improved the health of women and children throughout Jordan,” Paige said, according to the statement.
