Police chief visits phosphate company

AMMAN — Saving lives and protecting private property are the main tasks of the Public Security Department, PSD Director Gen.
Tawfiq Tawalbeh said Tuesday.
During a visit to the Special Desert Platoon, responsible for guarding the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC), Tawalbeh said police units have an important role in protecting the country’s resources and investments.
Tawalbeh met with JPMC Chairman Amer Majali, who praised PSD’s efforts in guarding the company’s premises under a protection agreement, according to a PSD statement.
