Husam Salem cruises to Speed Test Championship title

AMMAN — The season finale may have been gate crashed by Lebanon’s Roger Feghali, but home grown hero Husam Salem confirmed his position as the Kingdom’s top speedster by clinching the 2019 Jordan Speed Test Championship title, according to the Jordan Motorsport Media Service.
Salem came in second behind the veteran Lebanese driver in Friday’s final round of a season that saw the 2018 champion retain his title by dominating the series since his round one victory back in March.
Salem only needed a placing to secure the title, but he did it in style with second spot to win the championship by an incredible 28 points from Ghaith Wreikat, who finished third on Friday at the Royal Automobile Club.
Mustafa Attari finished third for the season, with Ihab Al Shurafa in fourth and Shaker Jeihan in fifth.
