US surgeons board elects Jordanian as new governing board member

AMMAN — The American College of Surgeons’ board of governors on Saturday selected Abdullah Bashir, a doctor and a senator, as a member of the board, for a three-year term.
Bashir, who was also selected to represent the college in Jordan, was chosen due to his medical and scientific achievements.
