AMMAN — Upon the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) has dispatched an emergency relief airplane to Sudan following the floods that hit 12 provinces and resulted in significant damage.
JHCO on Tuesday said that it coordinated with the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) to prepare the plane and load it with relief, food, and medical supplies before finishing arrangements with the Sudanese authorities to receive the assistance, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
JHCO Secretary General Hussein Shalabi said that the plane was loaded with 10 tonnes of assistance that will be delivered, and then distributed by the Sudanese authorities.
