Under Royal initiative, two beneficiaries receive keys to new homes

AMMAN — Mohammed Khdour and Saleh Hamdan on Wednesday received the keys to their new houses built under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah.

Khdour and Hamdan expressed gratitude to the Royal gesture and thanked His Majesty who felt their need for suitable house, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi, head of the follow-up committee for the implementation of Royal Initiatives, handed over the keys to the families of the two beneficiaries.

The residences are fully furnished and equipped with electrical appliances, Issawi said, stressing His Majesty King Abdullah’s keenness to maintain direct contact with the people and listen to their demands, according to Petra.

Khdour, who suffers cerebral palsy accompanied by physical disabilities and speech impairment since his birth, lauded the Royal gesture. Issawi said that the King has directed for full coverage of university fees for Khdour’s sister.

Saleh Hamdan, expressed appreciation for His Majesy’s follow up on his conditions, adding that the new residence is a “quantum leap” for him and his family. 

Royal initiatives, which cover various sectors, including health, education, youth, social development and income-generating projects, are a reflection of His Majesty’s visions that focus on providing the best for citizens, improving their living conditions and enhancing their roles in serving their communities.
