AMMAN — Security forces arrested two suspects in a house burglary case, according to a Public Security Department (PSD) statement released Wednesday.
A few days ago, a citizen reported suspicious people lurking on the roof of a building in the Hashemi area to the central Amman Criminal Investigation Department, and the nearest CID unit headed to the area and caught the suspects.
One of the suspects turned out to be wanted for several thefts and was in possession of a piece of jewellery.
The suspects confessed, in the initial questioning, to burglarising a house in the area, and its owner confirmed that gold jewellery worth JD100,000 was stolen from him.
The suspects revealed they buried the jewellery in the garden of the same house, and investigators returned the items to their owner.
