Tourism revenues increased by 7.2 per cent by February end — CBJ

AMMAN — Tourism revenues increased by 7.2 per cent during the first two months of 2018 compared with the same period in 2017, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) said that the revenues reached $735.4 million by the end of February this year compared with $686 million in the same period of last year.

During the month of February, revenues recorded a 4.3 per cent hike, standing at $315.8 million, compared with $ 303 million in the same month of 2017. The bank attributed the hike to a 6.9 per cent increase in tourists’ total number.
