Teachers stand in solidarity with detainees of Dead Sea incident

AMMAN — Members of the Jordan Teachers’ Association (JTA) on Tuesday stood in solidarity in front of the Palace of Justice with the detainees from the Directorate of Education over the Dead Sea incident.
President of the Jordan Teachers’ Association, Basil Freihat, called on the judicial authorities allow bail for the detainees, stressing confidence in the Jordanian judiciary and its integrity.
He said that the association would continue its endeavours until the approval of bail.
Deputy president of the teachers association, Ibrahim Shabana said their gathering was in solidarity with their colleagues, but not a protest, reaffirming the integrity and transparency of the Jordanian judiciary.
