Suspect in shooting death of Karak resident arrested

AMMAN — Police on Tuesday said they arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting death of a 38-year-old man in Karak Governorate last weekend.
The victim, identified by family members on social media as Turki Sarairah, was reportedly shot last Friday at his shop in Mutah town in Karak, some 140km south of Amman.
A Public Security Department statement said police arrested the suspect after collecting evidence. The suspect confessed to killing Sarairah over “personal differences”. Police also found the murder weapon based on information the suspect provided.
The victim is survived by his 35-year-old wife, a three-year-old daughter and a nine-month-old boy, according to a family member.
