AMMAN — The president of the Senate, Faisal Fayez and heads of the Senate’s committees on Wednesday met with citizens’ representatives at Al al Bayt University to discuss local concerns and challenges, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The meeting, which was attended by Mafraq Governorate’s governor and deputies, came as part of the Senate’s keenness to continuously communicate with the various components of society and representatives of the civil society organisations, Fayez said.
He noted that such events allow for discussing issues and challenges in an open manner in order to reach realistic solutions, pointing out that the living conditions of citizens need practical and time bound steps to enable them to overcome economic challenges.
