Senate forms its 16 permanent committees

AMMAN — The Senate on Thursday approved the formation of it 16 permanent committees for two years, based on Article No.15 of the Upper House's bylaw.

Each committee should not be less than seven members, and no more than 12, with each senator cannot serve in more than three committees, while heads of committees, and their deputies, are not allowed to be members in other committees, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The senate also named members of its permanent committees, with the panels formed included: the Legal Committee, Economy and Finance Committee, Arab International Affairs Committee, Administrative Committee, Education Committee, National Media and Guide Committee, Environment and Health Committee, Water and Irrigation Committee, Social Development and Work Committee, Mineral Resources and Energy Committee, Heritage and Tourism Committee, Public Service Committee, Freedom and Citizens’ Rights Committee, Palestine Committee, Women’s Affairs Committee in addition to the Sport, Youth and Culture Committee.
