AMMAN — The second batch of coronavirus tests conducted on children at Princess Rahma Paediatric Hospital in Irbid have come back negative, the hospital’s director Taha Tamimi said on Sunday.

All of the samples, totalling 30, taken from people who visited the hospital during the shift of a doctor infected with the coronavirus have come back negative, Tamimi said, noting that the results of 20 tests arrived on Saturday and 10 on Sunday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

He also said that the names of all patients who had visited the hospital during the shift of the doctor, who tested positive for the virus, have been referred to the epidemiological investigation team.

As a precautionary measure, additional tests on the hospital’s staff were conducted, he added.
