AMMAN — The Royal Scientific Society (RSS) on Sunday signed a cooperation agreement with the Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (JCARC) on airlifting hazardous materials.
Under the agreement, the RSS will test random samples of substances due to be airlifted to identify them and prepare a list of hazardous materials, according to an RSS statement.
The agreement, valid for two years, also stipulates that RSS will be assigned the duty to regularly train JCARC employees whose jobs are relevant to the duties assigned to RSS under the agreement.
The agreement also states that the shipments assigned for testing should comply with the standards issued by JCARC and the instructions of Jordanian civil aviation relevant to the transfer of hazardous materials.
