AMMAN — The Royal Protocol on Thursday issued a circular on the Kingdom’s celebrations of the 74th independence anniversary.

The circular said that Jordanians are celebrating the 74th Independence Day under exceptional circumstances imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Congratulating Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania, HRH Crown Prince Hussein and all Jordanians on the occasion, the Royal Protocol said that the celebrations this year will be limited to certain events, adding that His Majesty is scheduled to address Jordanians through a televised speech from Raghadan Palace.

The events will also be aired for the public through local television channels, it said.
