AMMAN — Under the Supreme Royal Directives, the Royal Hashemite Court continues to provide annual financial support and assistance aimed at improving the standard of living of the vulnerable families, as well as implementing a number of initiatives for housing centres and establishments that cater to orphans, people with disabilities, the elderly and juveniles during Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

In accordance with His Majesty King Abdullah’s directives to continue implementing a number of royal initiatives during the holy month of Ramadan, financial assistance is provided to nearly 30,000 families in various areas of the Kingdom to help them meet their basic needs.

The Supreme Royal Directives also included supporting the financing of cultural and recreational activities carried out by the Ministry of Social Development during Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr, which serve 1,771 beneficiaries living in the housing supervised by the ministry.
