AMMAN — The national strategy to eliminate tuberculosis has registered a drop in the outbreak of the disease, where the most recent report showed that 3.7 of each 100,000 of the population were diagnosed with the disease, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Thursday. The WHO commended the number, which marks the lowest average in the Middle East.
Health Ministry Secretary General Ahmad Qteitat said that WHO still classifies the Kingdom as one of the best countries that record the highest percentages of treatment, and the least to register new cases, standing at 4.75 cases for each 100,000 of the population in 2016.
