AMMAN — Prime Minister Omar Razzaz on Wednesday said that the government pays special attention to human rights issues in the Kingdom and builds on the achievements made in this field. Razzaz made his remarks during a meeting with the chairperson of the National Centre for Human Rights’ (NCHR) Board of Trustees, Mohammad Bakhit.

The chairperson presented the prime minister with a copy of the 2017 annual report on the human rights situation in the Kingdom. Razzaz expressed the government’s readiness to study any measures or amend legislation that would enhance the human rights situation in Jordan, stressing that the government welcomes NCHR’s participation in formulating a vision on the march to political reform and democracy.

Commissioner general of the NCHR, Mousa Burayzat, and government coordinator for human rights, Basil Tarawneh, attended the meeting, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

A MARCH TO POLITICAL WHAT? OR HUMAN RIGHT WHAT?. WITH ALL DUE RESPECT TO THE PREMIER WHO IS A WELL EDUCATED AND ACCOMPLISHED MAN, I WILL LIKE HIM TO READ WHAT I POSTED ABOUT JORDANIAN WOMEN MARRIED TO NON JORDANIAN ME. I KNOW THAT THESE POLICIES ARE NOT HIS BUT THEY ARE FUNCTINING UNDER HIS GOVERNMENT. NO POLITICAL ZIG-ZAG CAN COVER UP THE REPORTS GIVEN TO HIS EXCELLENCY.
