AMMAN — Her Majesty Queen Rania on Wednesday took to Facebook to condemn an attack on a 16-year-old boy in Zarqa, who was brutally attacked by a group of men who gouged his eyes and chopped his hands.
"How can we give you back what the criminals have stolen from you, and how can we soothe the hearts of your mother and family? How can we protect our children from the violence and harshness of those who bully others without deterrence or conscious?" the Queen wrote in Arabic.
"A horrible crime in every detail... Our hearts are with you, you are the son of every Jordanian! I add my voice to the voices that call for the harshest penalties against the perpetrators,” Her Majesty added.
