AMMAN — The Public Security Directorate (PSD) on Thursday warned against forged leaflets bearing the directorate's logo. The PSD refuted claims that it had published leaflets warning against child beggars and the tactics they use to scam people.
The PSD's spokesperson said that such false tactics had been used several years ago and re-circulated occasionally, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
All the PSD warnings are shared via the directorate's official pages and media outlets under the name of the PSD, he said, calling on the public to verify the information before sharing it to prevent the spread of misinformation.
