PSD urges house hunters to take precautions against fraud

AMMAN — The Public Security Department on Wednesday called on citizens and residents to follow proper legal and official procedures in their real estate transactions.

The PSD said the Criminal Investigation Department recently arrested a suspect over his involvement in real estate fraud.

The suspect confessed to publishing advertisements in local newspapers claiming to have apartments for sale in Amman and disappearing after collecting deposits from potential buyers.
