AMMAN — HRH Princess Sarvath Al Hassan was in Cardiff last week to inaugurate the International Baccalaureate’s (IB) new Assessment Centre.
Speaking at the event, Princess Sarvath, a foundational member of the IBO Council and founder of the Amman Baccalaureate, said “the IB represents a creative, contemporary form of thinking; one that is increasingly attractive to schools worldwide that are looking for open-minded alternatives to enrich their own scholastic programmes, to better guide and equip their pupils for the world of the future.” The princess also discussed the importance of the belief in the interdependence of people, and the benefits a broad-based course of study can contribute to a more harmonious world, according to a statement sent to The Jordan Times.
Speaking at the ceremony, IB Director General Siva Kumari expressed her gratitude to the princess and the IB community for their “continued commitment to IB’s work”.
