AMMAN — Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, HRH Prince Ghazi Bin Muhammad, His Majesty’s chief adviser for religious and cultural affairs and personal envoy, will participate in an international anti-terror meeting in Albania.

The gathering, which is a part of the “Aqaba Meetings”, is a follow-up  on international efforts in the war on terror, hosted in the Albanian capital Tirana on Sunday and Monday, a Royal Court statement said.

The meeting, which will be held for the first time outside Jordan, will particularly discuss security challenges in the Western Balkans, involving security and political officials from several countries, as well as officials from the Balkans, international partners and the EU.

The “Aqaba Meetings”, launched by King Abdullah in 2015, aim at enhancing security and military coordination and cooperation and exchanging experiences and intelligence between regional and international partners to combat terrorism through a holistic approach.
