AMMAN – Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Friday escaped injury following a car accident in his home city of Salt, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Ensour and members of his family were passengers in a government vehicle when a bus crashed into the motorcade, according to Petra.
The premier got off his car and checked on the health of passengers in the bus who appeared to be unhurt, according to Petra, which reported Ensour, family members and escorts underwent medical checks at Al Hussein Medical Centre in Amman.
Medical checks show that no one was injured.
The driver of the bus has apparently lost control of the vehicle due to failure in the brake, according Petra.
Electronic news websites said that the bus was coming from the northern city of Jerash to attend a wedding in Salt.
Petra said that Ensour has ordered that no legal action should be taken against the driver of the bus.
