PM visits army chief to discuss crisis management, coordination

AMMAN — Prime Minister Omar Razzaz on Sunday visited the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army headquarters to discuss a number of issues with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat, primarily crisis management and scenarios.
According to an official statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the premier was briefed on multiple crisis scenarios and the in-place interdepartmental emergency response plans.
Razzaz said that the exercise aims at learning from previous mistakes and producing radical solutions to crisis management. Freihat stressed to the prime minister the importance of institutionalising crisis management bodies, to ensure timely coordination at the highest level between respective authorities.
