PM instructs public servants to refrain from election campaigning

AMMAN — Prime Minister Hani Mulki called on all ministries and public departments to fully abide by executive regulations of the Independent Election Commission (IEC) regarding banning public servants from campaigning for any candidate in the municipal and local elections, slated for August 15.
The prime minister’s announcement is in line with Article 7 of executive regulations of campaigning, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The procedure is part of IEC’s keenness to hold free and transparent elections.
