AMMAN — The Asian Football Development Project (AFDP), the Jordan Football Association (JFA) and World Vision International (WVI) have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a framework for implementing “One Goal”; a campaign that seeks to tackle poor nutritional practices by leveraging the power of and the passion for football in the region.
The campaign also calls for greater cooperation on a number of development programmes that seek to empower women, build resilience amongst refugees and host communities, and promote grassroots football, according to a statement released by HRH Prince Ali’s office this week.
“It is our responsibility to defend the right of the youth to an environment that empowers them physically and mentally, and encourages them to adopt the right attitude towards nutrition which is essential for building stronger future generations,” the statement quoted Prince Ali, AFDP founder and chairman, as saying.
