One dies, four injured in gov’t building fire

AMMAN — A man died and four were injured in a fire that erupted on Thursday in an administrative building affiliated with the Prime Ministry in Amman, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The fire was caused by an electric fault during maintenance work while using a “tile mixer”, Petra reported. The deceased was identified as an Egyptian worker with the maintenance company.
Civil Defence Department personnel extinguished the fire, administered first aid to the injured and transferred them to hospital.
