OHCHR to display Jordanian example at human rights Beirut conference

AMMAN — The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in the MENA region has chosen to display the Jordanian experience at a follow-up conference on the human rights situation to be held in Beirut on March 30, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The conference, which will be attended by a number of international officials, will discuss national mechanisms for reports’ preparation and follow-up on recommendations on human rights.
The government’s Human Rights Coordinator Basil Tarawneh will represent Jordan to present the Kingdom’s leading experiences in the field of human rights coordination, and the comprehensive national plan to follow up on the completion of these rights. The conference aims at reviewing relevant expertise in the region.
