Nine people land in police net during anti-drug raid

AMMAN — Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel on Wednesday arrested nine wanted people and drug dealers during a raid carried out east of Amman.

The media spokesman for the Public Security Department (PSD) said in a statement that AND personnel, after gathering information about a number of wanted persons and drug dealers, carried out a security campaign east of the capital.

He said that during the raid, nine wanted people and drug dealers were arrested, one of whom was classified as “dangerous”, adding that three kilogrammes of hashish, half  a kilogramme of hashish powder, narcotic pills and a firearm were seized, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
