AMMAN — The value of national exports in the five-six months of 2018 increased by 2.5 per cent to JD1.75 billion, compared with the same period of 2017, Industry, Trade and Supply Minister Tareq Hammouri said on Saturday.

The minister attributed the growth to the rise of exports of several sectors, mainly the clothing to each of the US and Canada by 15 and 19.2 per cent, respectively, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Hammouri also referred to the increase of exports of raw potash to Malaysia and Egypt by 1.44 and 29.3 per cent, respectively, and in fertilisers by 27.1 per cent, thanks to the rise of exports to India.
