Mulki commends PSD’s efforts in protecting nation, providing stability

AMMAN — Prime Minister Hani Mulki on Monday visited the Public Security Department (PSD) and met with its Director Maj. Gen. Fadel Hmoud, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Mulki praised the PSD personnel’s efforts in protecting the nation and providing security and stability.

He stressed the importance of strengthening the rule of law and its firm enforcement. Mulki reiterated the government’s support to the PSD to enable it to perform its role and duties.

The prime minister gave directives to review all security plans and strategies and to immediately modify them in line with social and political variables.

For his part, Maj. Gen. Hmoud presented plans that will be launched through the Public Security Strategy (2018-2020), which are based on clear goals and objectives to combat crime in all its forms.
